On “Fringe” Health Care Protests

The Democratic National Committee has apparently decided to take them on. Unfortunately for the DNC, Amanda Carey decided to take the DNC on.

Barack Obama Is Not The Messiah. He’s Just Another Politician.

Film at eleven.

Why Did Google Ban a Senator’s Website?

Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, never one to avoid the spotlight, is smack in the middle of it at the moment — but not for any good reasons. It’s never a good week when your campaign site ends up getting banned by Google.

In Praise Of Paul Ryan

Michael Moynihan sings from the hymnbook, and I concur.

Censorship In The House

If a Congressional mailing on a policy matter is inaccurate, I am sure that in this day and age of 24/7/365 news, with television, radio, mainstream outlets on the Internet, and blogs, the inaccuracies will be quickly reported and disseminated to the public. The dissemination and reporting may not be perfect, but it will likely be quite impressive.

Obama Neck and Neck with Romney and Palin in New 2012 Poll

To wit:

So Much For “Bipartisanship”

Congressional Democrats and the White House are excited over the fact that House Democrats have come up with a plan to provide health care that would cost $1.5 trillion over ten years, and would be financed by “a surtax of 5.4 percent on couples with more than $1 million in income,” with “additional taxes on households with more than $350,000 a year in income and calls for further increases if the measure doesn’t hit a target for cost savings.”

Agreeing With Paul Krugman

Yeah, doesn’t it suck when people compare politicians to Hitler and Nazis?

Health Care Reform Follies

Jonathan Cohn appears to be upset that the political establishment has skipped the crucial step of figuring out how to pay for health care reform, before actually working to enact reforms in the first place. I completely sympathize. It’s like putting on one’s shoes before putting on one’s socks. How very annoying!
