A new billboard along I-35 in Wyoming, Minnesota is causing quite a ruckus. The giant road side sign features a picture of former President George W. Bush waving and the text “Miss Me Yet?”
It’s not clear who paid for the sign or if it’s meant to honestly ask the public if they miss Bush the Younger or if it only seeks to mock the former President and remind voters of how unpopular he was when he left office last year. For the time being, we’ll just revel in the moment and pass along a little polling about W vs. Obama from just a couple months ago.
Perhaps the greatest measure of Obama’s declining support is that just 50% of voters now say they prefer having him as President to George W. Bush, with 44% saying they’d rather have his predecessor. Given the horrendous approval ratings Bush showed during his final term that’s somewhat of a surprise and an indication that voters are increasingly placing the blame on Obama for the country’s difficulties…
Oh, how the winds of politics do change.
