In addition to having killed Neda Agha-Soltan, the Islamic regime in Iran seems to feel a need to continue to denigrate her memory. How else to explain this story?
I am all in favor of more tributes to Neda like the one that Oxford University put together. They can only serve to highlight the continuing human rights abuses that are going on in Iran, and the benefits that would come about as a consequence of pressuring the regime to change its human rights policies–or better yet, to leave the scene altogether. In the meantime, such tributes will drive the regime’s leaders batty. Win-win in my book.
