Really? I've been surprised at how many people from the Left are wondering what on earth Obama did to deserve this. Also, if these facts are 'clear to see', why not expand your empty comment with something?

What is clear, is that the Nobel committee did this as a purely political move to peer-pressure Obama getting the troops out. Not saying that's necessarily a bad thing, but let's call it what it is. Since the troops aren't allowed to actually fight a real fight, we'd be better off leaving anyway.

I first hear about it on the radio driving home. The station I was listening to is a bit irreverent with it's station breaks. One of them came on:

"The real question is, where will Kanye West be when Obama accepts his Nobel Prize?"

This is going to be one of those things where everyone remembers where they were when they heard it, but not like any of the other ones.

I read about Mr. Obama award in the newspaper. On the same page there was a news about the new American 25.000 pounds bomb for destroying a deep covered targets. Is that ironic or it is ironic? By the way, your text is great.

“All cults of personality begin as high drama and end as low comedy.” I would say that many end in tragedies rather than low comedies and hubris was also a critical element of Greek tragedies for a reason.

It is a wonderful thing to be an American writer with the freedom to criticize the Nobel Peace Committee's decisions…and then to use that dissent to ridicule the President of the United States. I commend Mr. Kerstein for his commentary and look forward to his other movie reviews…I would expect them to be equally entertaining, short on substance, and worthy of litter box lining.
