Quite possibly. I can understand the need to ensure party unity on certain issues. I cannot understand the need to crush dissent.
There are a number of arguments and critiques that one can level at the National Health Service. Conveniently enough, a compendium of them can be found at Wikipedia. If the Tory position is that none of these critiques can be repeated favorably, then quite frankly, they are engaged in an intellectual race to the bottom, right alongside the intellectually hollowed-out Labour Party.
Incidentally, there are far worse things in the world than the prospect of Daniel Hannan becoming Prime Minister someday.
