A long speech, but worth the listen:
Gingrich may offer a number of ideas that have not been fully formulated, but he also throws out a few good ones, and he makes clear that he understands the principles of campaigning and marketing. I may disagree with a number of his points, but as my colleague Ben Domenech points out, Gingrich performs the valuable service of offering hints on how Republicans can mount an electoral comeback. He shows how small government ideas fit into the grand American tradition. He lays out the differences between the GOP and the Obama Administration starkly. And he carries the fight to the Democrats. Newt Gingrich may not be the best person to lead, but he is a tremendous guerrilla fighter. And Republicans are in desperate need of someone who can teach them how to fight again.
